A Mischevous spirit, the Tikoloshe….

Tikoloshes are notorious for their mischievous and malevolent nature. They possess the ability to turn invisible by either consuming water or swallowing a stone. These supernatural beings are often summoned by wicked individuals to cause chaos and distress to others. Although their presence can be used to frighten children, their potential for harm is immense, ranging from causing sickness to even death. However, a priest or priestess with an apostolic calling can banish the creature from the area, using their divine power to expel it.

In local communities, there is a belief that some individuals who harbor jealousy seek the help of witch doctors to exact revenge on their enemies. To do so, the villager must offer the soul of a loved one as payment, but they have no control over who the Tikoloshe, a supernatural creature, chooses to take. The witch doctor prepares a dead body by piercing its eye sockets and brain with a hot iron rod, rendering it devoid of thought and shrinking it with a special powder. The Tikoloshe is then summoned to terrorize the victim, and it claims the promised soul of the client’s loved one weeks, months, or even years later. This practice is steeped in tradition and remains a fascinating aspect of local folklore.
